As the son of immigrant parents, David developed a passion for serving his community throughout high school and as a student at Santa Clara University where he earned a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. His passion to work alongside young people led David to support InnerCity Struggle’s Civic Engagement and Academic Services work as an intern. In 2016, he joined InnerCity Struggle as a Youth Civic Engagement Organizer and leads the youth voter engagement and education work at high schools and colleges on the Eastside.  David is also a New Majority Fellow and works with young people across the state to share best practices to build power and create lasting change through electoral organizing.
