Daniel found a passion for working with children and families while working for Mar Vista Family Center. As a community organizer, he believes that involving families and communities in the lives of children can make a positive and profound impact. Daniel started organizing while he was in high school but his commitment to justice and equity was born much earlier as he saw his mother involved in her community. Daniel joined InnerCity Struggle to work with the Best Start East LA  (BSELA) community to develop parent leadership skills, reduce stress among community members and advocate for open spaces and parks for children 0-5 in East Los Angeles. In his current role, Daniel serves as the Director of Community Organizing. Daniel will complete his bachelor’s degree in Child Development from California State University of Fullerton in December 2018.
